Hellenic Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (HSIOIRS)

HSIOIRS was founded in 1984, with the task to promote modern cataract surgery techniques and innovative refractive procedures as well as ophthalmic surgeons’ education and training. HSIOIRS has embraced the sustainability project by increasing member’s awareness on sustainability along with liaising with industry to reduce waste from surgical packaging. The ultimate task would be to obtain hospitals’ commitment to take the pledge for ophthalmic surgical waste handling and recycling.
